Kindergarten Registration Information
*************KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION WILL OPEN 2/15/2024************
Steps 2-3 are required to register your student.
Steps 4-7 are optional or can be done at a later time.
Step #1- Mark your calendar for Little Trailblazer Night
Parents of the Monon Trail community and their incoming kindergarten student(s) are invited to attend this fun and informational evening on Thursday, April 18th from 5:30-6:30!
Step #2: Complete Online Registration
2024-2025 Kindergarten registration ****Kindergarten Registration will open 2/15/2024****
Any child who has legal settlement in Westfield Washington Schools and is five years of age on or before August 1st of this year may enroll in the kindergarten program.
*Documents needed-Birth Certificate, Proof of residency, Driver's license, and current/updated immunization records. These items will need to scanned during the registration process. If you are missing a document or have trouble you may submit the registration and bring the documents to Oak Trace and we will make a copy.
Step #3: Sign up for a Kindergarten Screening
Kindergarten screenings will be held Monday, April 29th, Tuesday, April 30th, Thursday, May 2nd and Friday, May 3rd.
Please sign up for a time for one of our kindergarten teachers to do a basic screening with your with your child. This will take approximately 20 minutes and the purpose is to get a sense of your child's readiness for kindergarten.
All incoming kindergarten students are required to participate in this basic screening, which will take approximately 20 minutes. The purpose is to get a sense of your child's readiness for kindergarten.

Step: #4 Fill out the "Getting to Know Your Child" form
Please click HERE to complete the the "Getting to Know Your Child" form. This will give the teachers some basic background/developmental information about your child.
Step #5- Purchase Supplies
Option #A: Purchase prepackaged supply kits through the Monon Trail PTO. If you order a kit, your child's supplies will be delivered directly to his/her classroom before the start of school. Ordering will open SPRING 2024.
Option #B: If you prefer to shop on your own, you can download a copy of the supply list Here (will be available Spring 2024)
Step #6- Sign up for Summer Childcare and/or Before and After Care
Summer Childcare and Summer Camp Program--Enrollment will open Spring of 2024.
Before and After Care Program for the 2024-2025 School Year -Enrollment will open Spring of 2024
***These programs are very popular and fill up quickly. Please do not delay registering once enrollment opens.
Step #7: Fill Out Safe Visitor Background Check
(Please have this done before the start of school. The process can take up to 10 days after you have submitted your information online)
A Safe Visitor background check will be required for anyone who visits our schools.
